This Friday, the “Team” will be racing at Path Valley Speedway Park in Spring Run, PA. Shawn will be in the 12a and Xzander will be in the 12x.
Also, autograph cards have been ordered for the 2008 racing season. We should have them available within the next week. If you see us at one of the tracks and would like a card, please feel free to ask. Thanks!

Well, all we can say is what a night. Shawn had some problems right from the get go in the 12a. He took the 12a out for warm-ups, made one lap, and pulled the car into the pits. They found a top end oiler fitting snapped of in the block. No one had any to get the car fixed. Shawn did not run the 12a in the heat race as scheduled due to trying to get the car fixed. They decided to let Xzander run the 12x in his heat race. Unfortunatly, Xzander did not qualify, and was scheduled to go into the consi.
Shawn did not get the 12a fixed so decided to run the 12x in the consi, and have Xzander sit out. Xzander was fine with the decision. Shawn started 11th (last) in the cosi in the 12x. He managed to get his “old” car all the way up to fourth place to finish. They took the top six out of the consi for the 20 lap feature.
Well, the feature was never ran due to the severe weather that hit the track. The next time the INEX Legends race at SSP, the “make up” feature will be ran first, the qualifying for the scheduled race will take place. Now, this is what will happen for our team. Shawn must race the 12x in the “make up” feature, then the rest of the evening he will be back in the 12a and Xzander will go back into the 12x. It is sure to be a busy and exciting evening when this happens.

Racing this week is scheduled for Saturday evening at 5:30PM at Susquehanna Speedway Park. Both the 12a and the 12x are scheduled to race with drivers Shawn and Xzander.

The evening again was not one of the best as far as luck goes for Shawn in the 12a car. In the heat race Shawn started third and was hit going into turn four. He was sent into the infield but managed to regain control and come back out onto the track without a caution. His finish in the heat race was seventh or eighth (Sorry, not sure exactly). Xzander in the 12x car started 9th in his heat race and finished 10th.

For the feature, Shawn started fifteenth and Xzander started 19th. Xazander held his ground the entire race and had a final finish of 13th. Shawn had quite a few battles to fight as he moved up through the field. On or about lap 16, Shawn was hit hard in the passenger side door by a spinning out Jason Ewing who’s car broke. Somehow Shawn came through the accident scene and kept on racing. On lap 17, you could see puffs of smoke coming of the motor of the 12a. Shawn finished the race, with smoke coming off the motor, 6th.

The Sabko, Inc. Racing team has decided to take the evening off and not race at Grandview. Shawn feels that his car is not up to par to run this evening with everything happening last evening.

The next race that they will attend will be on Saturday, April 26 at Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, PA. A huge “Thank You” goes out to everyone on the team, our sponsors, families, and friends. Have a great week, and see you at SSP!

Dad, It has been twenty-six years ago the last morning I saw you. I can still remember you getting on your motorcycle and leaving that morning for work, and I still remember all the things that let up to me getting the news that night after Cub Scouts. I have to admit I miss you so much each and every day! The twenty-six years without you here have seen many ups and downs in my life. There are so many things I want you to see, and I think you would be pretty proud of me for what I have accomplished in my life, and I know my wife and two children would just love you!
Dad, if we could just have one more day together it would be great! You and I at the race track, and me showing you off saying, “Hey everyone, I want you to meet my Dad!” I know you are with me all the time, but I wish I could have more! I wish you were still here sharing my life with me and my family! I know that sounds very conceited to say, I know God called you home, but it is hard for a young boy to grow up without his Dad in his life. I know Mom remarried, and I am very happy about that. I know Mom and “Dad” are very proud of who I have become.
Well Dad, I just wanted to let you know that I miss you more and more each day. I will never forget you, and every day I have some thought of you and wonder what you would do in my situation. Dad, I just really wanted to say that even after twenty-six years, I still miss you, and I still love you!

What started out as a pretty bad evening during heat races, turned out to be a pretty good night of racing. The first of two heat races found the 12a starting 3rd and the 12x starting eleventh. The 12a was crashed into on lap six, and fell back to eighth finishing spot and the 12x finished eleventh.
Once Shawn got the car back to the pits both he and Seth worked very deligently checking over the damages and correcting the issues found. The feature line up did not look very promising when it was released. The 12a was scheduled to start fifteenth and the 12x was to start in twenthyth.
Shawn knew he had his work cut out for him to get up through the pack. He had told Seth before the 20 lap feature that he would be happy to finish tenth.
Well, the 12a wound up finishing 7th! Shawn even told Seth when he got back to the hauler, “Man, my butt is whipped! That was a very hard race.” Yes, Shawn got his top ten he was looking for and even a little better. Xzander, in the 12x, had a final finish of 14th!
