4/5/2009 - Path Valley Speedway Park Results

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Sunday was a long day for the Team at Path Valley Speedway Park. The day turned out to be warm and even a little hot while being in the pits. Shawn was excited to be at Path Valley, but not to excited as it was another day race which meant a dry, slick racing surface.
Shawn Started 2nd in the 2nd heat for qualifying. He was running right with the leader actually bumping into him in the turns. Shawn thought he would make an in car adjustment and run high entering turns 3 and 4, but the car spun the tires and he fell back to fifth, which was still a qualifying inverted position. He thought he could make one more adjustment with one lap to go and it didn’t work. Coming off turn four he spun the car out and was credited with 8th finishing spot.
Shawn started the feature race in 15th. By the time the first caution came out he was up to 13th. With roughly 2 laps to go, he ended up finishing the 20 lap race in 11th.
The Team had mixed emotions. Shawn knew he fouled up in the heat race, and it fouled them up for the remainder of the day. The Team is looking forward to returning to Path Valley Speedway Park on Friday evening if Mother Nature can hold off the rain this week. If Friday evening would happen to be cancelled due to rain, the Team has decided to take the weekend off to spend the Easter Weekend with Friends and Family.
Have a Safe and Happy Holiday weekend if we don’t get to make any other posts this week!

August 22 Path Valley Results

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

The new 12a made its first debut Friday evening at Path Valley. Shawn was not very happy with the car at all. “We have been having throttle issues since Wednesday evening”, stated Shawn. “It’s not the teams fault. It’s a new car and we need to get the bugs worked out.”
Shawn took the green flag and spun in turn four. He lost his steering going into turn one and was taken to the pits.

Xzander drove the 12x. He did not start the feature.

“We are hoping to get issues resolved this week and get back to Path Valley on Friday evening before we take off for two weekends to go on vacation.”, stated Shawn.

We will keep you updated through the week as to how the plans are going on returnong to Path Valley on Friday, August 29. Thank you for visiting our site. Be safe!

August 8, Path Valley Speedway Park Results

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

The weather conditions couldn’t keep the 12a Team away from the track. They drove through the rain and made it to the track on time. Although Mother Nature made a visit to the track before they got there.

The racing action finally got started about an hour to an hour and a half late. Shawn had three hot lap sessions to prepare for his heat race.

Shawn started the 12a on the pole in the second heat. Upon taking the green, the 12a spit and sputtered. Shawn finished seventh in his heat. When the Team went over the car in the pits, they found and injector issue. The Team got it resolved and waited for the feature.

The 12a started the feature in 14th position. Shawn ran a great race and finished 10th. The Team is very happy with how the evening ended with Shawn saying, we finally made a top 10 finish at this track, and the car finally made a 20 lap A-Main and we didn’t get lapped!” As you can tell he was pretty excited for the Team as things are starting to really gel together for them.

The Team will be off next weekend for Family plans. The next race on the schedule is Friday, August 22. The Team will be making the trek back to Path Valley. Until then, be safe, drive smart, and reach for the stars.

August 1, Path Valley Speedway Park Results

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

The team made its return to Path Valley last evening. After fixing an oil leak issue upon entering the track, Shawn was able to go out for warm ups with the 270cc micro sprints. The car was a little loose but was very strong.

Shawn started 4th in the third heat. On the start the two front row cars did not go as Shawn had thought, and he got caught up behind the two of them. He managed to finish fifth in his heat for a starting spot of fifteenth in the 20 lap main event.

Shawn was good on the start and the first few laps. Another car spun in front of him in turn three and four and Shawn spun out and bumped the other car. Shawn and the other car were put to the rear of the field. He managed to gain a few spots in the remaining laps and was credited with finishing 19th.

Shawn told Duane and Xzander that the car was unilike any other time he has driven it. He is very proud of where the team got this car to be in the few short weeks of racing in the 600cc micro sprint class.

The teams plans are to have Xzander in the car for practice on Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 at Susquehanna Speedway Park. We are not sure of a racing schedule for next weekend at this point in time. We will post on here where we plan to be at next. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

July 19 Results from Shippensburg Speedway

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

The car is definetly a different car and has a lot more horsepower since the work was all done this week. When Shawn went out for warm ups the car was tight. Shawn said, “Wow, this car is hooked up!”

Shawn started on the pole in the second heat. He fell back to fifth position to still qualify for the feature. He missed a gear on the start, and until the heat built up in the tires, he was a little loose.

While waiting for the feature, the team did a few minor adjustments. Shawn started 17th and moved up to 14th when he was hit in the left rear tire and split the rear axle in two. Shawn was credited with finishing 22nd in the feature.

The car is already somewhat back together, and the team will be working very hard to get this car ready for Friday evening when they travel to Path Valley Speedway Park. Shawn will also be celebrating his 35th birthday at the track! The team will be off on Saturday evening for Shawn to enjoy his birthday party with his family and friends. Have a safe and great week, and see you at the track!

Path Valley Results, July11, 2008

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Shawn started on the pole in the first heat race. He had a chain guard break and tear up some things on the car, and did not finish.

Shawn started 19th in the feature event. The first five to ten laps the car was real good. At lap 12 the car engine didn’t seem to have power and Shawn pulled in on lap 18. He was credited with a final finish of 17th.

After the race, they had some people look over the car and it will be going to get some work done on the engine and other componets this week.

Our next race is scheduled for Saturday, July 19 at Shippensburg Speedway. See you at the races!

SSP Speedweek Results

Friday, July 4th, 2008

The 12a team had a rough evening. The car during warm ups ran great for one and a half laps and just lost power the rest of the time out. In the heat race, Shawn started on the pole, and once again the car lost power, and was forced to the C Main. While lining up for the C Main, the car shut off going down the backstretch and never refired. Shawn, Duane, Xzander, and all the guys at Hyper can’t fint the issue. It will be a long week at the shop, as the team is planning on rewiring the entire car.

If the team can get the car ready in time, they are planning on racing Friday evening, July 11 at Path Valley Speedway Park. Thanks for visiting our site, and see you at the races!

Lincoln Speedway Speedweek Results

Monday, June 30th, 2008

The evening found 94 cars at Licoln Speedway for the second night of racing. Shawn started 7th in the fifth heat. He finished seventh. This put Shawn in the “D” Main.

In the “D” Main, Shawn started 15th and ended up 14th due to the front left tire coming off the bead. This ended the evening for Shawn.

His words were, “I was just coming here to get more seat time. I never imagined that I’d make the “D” Main. I was thinking the “E” Main, and my night would be over. I’m happy with the results.”

The teams next race will be Thursday, July 3 at Susquehanna Speedway Park. Racing starts at 7:00 PM. See you at the track.

Shippensburg Speedway Results

In only his third start in the 600cc micro this season, Shawn gets his first top ten finish!

Things were not looking so good after the heat race last evening at the track. Shawn had burnt up the front left spindle and hub and took a wild ride into the turn two infield. He was taken to the pits and Xzander and Shawn went to town getting the car apart to see what all it needed.

Shawn was able to borrow a front left spindle assembly and was able to start the feature. He started eleventh. By lap four he was up to ninth, and by lap twenty-five made it to seventh. Shawn was very proud of making the show and finishing in the top ten.

The team will travel to Lincoln Speedway this evening for PA 600 Speedweek. As of the release of this article, the show is still on schedule. Gates open at 5:00 and racing action starts at 6:00.

Thanks for visiting and thanks for your support!

Path Valley, 6/20/2008 Results

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Shawn was in the 12a 600cc micro sprint again last evening at Path Valley Speedway Park. The night started out on a pretty bad note. Shawn went out for warm ups and on his second time around the track the car shut off. He was pushed back into the pits and everyone, including non team members pitched in and help Shawn find the issue. It was a wiring issue on the back of the dash and also a blown fuse. The team would like to thank Tim Glatfelters Dad for all his help, and also the 18X team for the fuse.

Shawn was scheduled to start in the first heat race in the ninth position due to being a rookie in this car. He ended up finishing sixth. When Shawn got back into the pits he was excited due to the fact that he thought that the top six out of each heat went on to the feature. Well, they took the top five.

This meant that Shawn started the consi on the pole. Shawn finished 7th and did not qualify for the feature. Again, many other teams let Shawn know that he is doing a very good job for only being his second time on the track in this car.

The team would also like to say “Thank You” to Dwayne for all of his help last evening. The team is hoping that he will decide to come on board as we learn all the new things with a new car.

Thank you all again for all of your support! The team is planning on having Xzander at Susquehanna Speedway Park for practice on Wednesday evening, and we will post later this week where the team will be racing. Thanks again!
