Driver of the 12a:

Shawn A. Arndt

2008

    • Shawn is married to his wife, Ange, and also has two children; Xzander, who will be starting his racing career in 2008 in INEX Legends Cars, and Sapphire, who is his “Cheerleader” on and off the track.
    • Shawn caught the racing bug at the early age of five. He attended the races on Saturday evenings with his Dad before he passed away. Once Shawn got older, he attended Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway every weekend.
    • Shawn officially started off his racing career with The World of Outlaw Sprint Car series by being the main sponsor of the 5m car driven by Mark Kinser. He spent two years with the WoO to turn his sights on to the local 410 Sprint scene. He then joined The Leach Brothers and Doug Esh in the #30 car.
    • Shawn is involved behind the scenes at many of our area tracks doing sound system upgrades and CCTV work.
    • 2008 will be Shawn’s third year racing INEX Legends cars. In his first year (2006), the team finished 9th at the INEX Dirt Nationals held at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The team finished 13th in National INEX Points, and 15th in PA State Points.
    • The 2007 season found some ups and downs. The beginning of the season went well, with a lackadaisical mid season, only to be finished up on some pretty high notes. The team traveled to the INEX Dirt Nationals held at Midway Speedway, in Lebanon, MO. They had an impressive 2nd place heat race, a 4th place heat race, and finished 7th in the A-Main. The team finished 16th in National INEX Points, and 12th in PA State Points.
    • Shawn has also raced Xtreme Stocks and full size school busses. Shawn holds the Five Lap Track Record in a School Bus at Susquehanna Speedway Park.

2009

  • Shawn is looking for his first win in the 2009 season. He had a seventh place finish at Shippensburg Speedway and a tenth place finish at Path Valley Speedway Park.
  • Shawn is also looking forward to his first full season in 600cc Micro Sprints,

Driver of the 12x:

Xzander Edwards

2008

    • Xzander is proud to follow his Dads’ footsteps and start his official racing career this season as a “Shared” Driver of the 12x ride.
    • Xzander also caught the racing bug at an early age. You could find him at the tracks, and at race shops being his Dads shadow.
    • Xzander has been with the Sabko, Inc. Racing Team since it began in 2006. He was part of the crew, and in 2007 worked harder then ever to get the 12a to the front.
    • Xzander is very excited to get his racing career started this season. He will be racing at Path Valley Speedway Park, Susquehanna Speedway Park, and possibly Trailway Speedway. He is racing a limited schedule this first season.
    • Xzander will be racing in the INEX Legends class of Young Lion / Semi-Pro division.

2009

    • Xzander is looking forward to driving in his first full season of 600cc Micro Sprints.
    • Xzander, once the team switched from Legends cars to Micro Sprints, mainly practiced at Susquehanna Speedway Park on Wednesday evenings.
    • Xzander did qualify for one feature race that he attended and was credited with 24th finishing spot.
    • Xzander’s goals this season are to qualify for feature races and maintain his equipment.

 

Crew Chief 12a / 12x:

Duane Drollinger

2008

    • Experience Racing:
    • Duane joined our team in mid 2008 season when we switched from INEX Legends cars to 600cc micro sprints. Duane brings nearly 30 years of racing experience to the team.
    • Has Track Championships in Open Competition go-karts (Region 11 IKF) at: Ascot Park, Carls Bad Raceway, and Hanford, CA
    • Has been involved with the Quarter Midgets of America (QMA), USAC Midgets, SCRA Sprint Cars, and 600cc Micro Sprints.

2009

    • Duane has been a huge asset to Sabko, Inc. Racing. He has coached and mentored Shawn and Xzander on the basics of racing “winged” cars.
    • Duane is looking forward to helping both Shawn and Xzander meet and exceed their goals in the 2009 racing season.
    • Duane will once again be the “Head Wrench” for the team in 2009.
